1 lb. honey
1 box brown sugar
¼ cup water

Bring above ingredients to a rolling boil.

½ teaspoon baking soda
2 cups pecans
8 cups flour
¾ lb. citron
½ lb orange peel
¼ teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 eggs
¼ teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Grind orange peel, citron, and pecans together. Mix with honey mixture. Mix flour, spices, and soda. When honey mixture has cooled to touch, beat in eggs and flour mixture, mixing well. Place dough into a well-greased bowl and refrigerate for 4 days.

Let sit out for 2 hours before rolling out. Roll dough out and cut shapes by using cookie cutters. Cook on greased cookie sheet at 325° for 15 minutes.

Let cool, then brush with powdered sugar mixed with rum.
