2 1/2 cups Small White Beans
1 1/2 quarts (6 cups) Water
1 T Salt
1/2 cup Chopped Bacon
1 Medium Onion, chopped
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Chili Sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Soak beans overnight. Add salt to beans invoking water and cover and simmer until tender about 1 1/2 hours. Drain liquid. Measure 2 1/2 cups bean liquid set aside to add later if necessary. Combine water with brown sugar, and chili sauce. In a 2 quart casserole, alternate layer of beans, onion, bacon and sugar/chili sauce mixture. Repeat.

Bake at 300 degrees for 5-7 hours. Add water occasionally to keep beans moist.
