1 lb mild italian sausage, sliced
½ c onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
2 T flour
1 16 oz can tomatoes, cut up
1 4 oz can mushrooms, undrained
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp salt
½ tsp basil
⅛ tsp black pepper
1 tsp sugar
1 (10 count) can refrigerator buttermilk biscuits
1 c shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400º.

In frying pan, lightly brown sausage, onions and garlic; drain fat. Sprinkle with flour. Add tomatoes, mushrooms and seasonings. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring until slightly thickened. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

Separate dough into 10 biscuits. Cut in quarters. Pour mixture into oblong casserole dish, arrange biscuit quarters over mixture. Sprinkle with cheese.

Bake for 10-15 minutes or until biscuits and cheese are lightly browned.
