I bag of large marshmallows
1 bag of Carmel’s
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 tablespoons butter
1 small box rice crispies
1 teaspoon vanilla or almond flavouring

Cut marshmallow in half ~I place mine on wax paper on my cutting board and put them in the freezer. They are easier to work with frozen
Bring water to boil in double boiler. Once boiling reduce heat to slow boil. In top boiler melt caramels and butter. Stirring as neede to combine caramel and butter. When fully melted (creamy and smooth) remove from heat and add sweetened milk. Stir until mixed.

Remove marshmallows from freezer. Dip in caramel sauce. Roll in rice crispies. Place on wax paper to cool. I put them back on the cutting board with wax paper and place in freezer to harden. Each piece should be separate or they’ll stick. Once caramal hardens place in zip lock freezer bags, can be eaten frozen. For children’s treats add sucker or popsicle stick.
