1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup nuts chopped coarsely (optional)
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Grease or line 14 to 16 muffin cups with paper liners. In a large bowl, stir the brown sugar and butter together. Add milk, egg and vanilla. Stir to combine. Add the flour, baking soda and salt, mixing until just blended. If using nuts, stir them in next. Put about 2/3 cup in each muffin cup. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
