Large pieces round steak, tenderized. (I usually buy meat that is already tenderized.)
Salt & Pepper to taste
⅓ - ½ cup oil
flour in pan for dipping meat

Directions:
Directions:
Cut meat into serving size pieces. Add salt & pepper.
Heat oil until it bubbles.
Reduce heat to medium. Dip meat into flour and fry until brown, then turn. Cook until done.
Remove onto platter with paper towel to drain.

Add ½ -1 cup flour to remaining oil. With spoon, mix flour into oil making sure you get all the meat on the bottom of pan. Salt and pepper to taste. Add water (approx. 1 cup) to flour mixture. to desired consistency. Add more water as needed., This makes brown gravy. For white gravy use milk instead of water.
