2 1/2c flour
4 1/2 tsp yeast
1/2tsp cardamom
1c milk
1/2c sugar
1/2c butter
1tsp salt
2 eggs
1Tbsp orange zest
1/3c orange juice
2 3/4-3 1/4c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, yeast and cardamom. In on medium/low heat just until it melts the milk, sugar, butter and salt and add to the flour mixture. Add eggs, orange zest and juice and mix well. Carefully add the rest of the flour enough to make a stiff dough. Kneed on a lightly floured surface. Place in a greased bowl and turn once. Cover and let rise till double (about 1 hour). Punch down and divide into six portions. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes. Roll portions into 16 inch ropes. Braid 3 at a time. Form into a circle. Put on greased baking sheet. Let rise till nearly double (approx. 30 minutes). Combine 1 egg yolk and 1 Tbsp. milk and brush over braids. bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes. Cover with foil for the last 5-10 minutes.
