½ c. (1 stick) of butter, melted
1 c. of tightly packed light brown sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tsp. of vanilla
½ tsp. baking powder
⅛ tsp. of baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 c. of all-purpose flour
⅓ c. of chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line baking pan with parchment paper.
Whisk together the melted butter and sugar in a bowl.
Add the egg and vanilla extract and whisk.
Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix it all together. Add the butterscotch chips or other mix-ins.
Pour into the pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Pull up on parchment paper and lay on counter to cool.
Allow to cool (optional--we can’t ever wait). Cut into squares or rectangles and serve.
