"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 tube Pillsbury refrigerated sugar cookie dough (warning: Aldi’s brand doesn’t taste right; it has an off flavor)
8 oz. strawberry cream cheese
16 oz. heavy whipping cream
¾ c. Powdered sugar
Assorted fruit, washed, cut, etc. (I used strawberries, green grapes, and pineapple)

Directions:
Directions:
Flatten out sugar cookie dough into 9x13” or I used a pizza pan, as I wanted a circle. (I use parchment.) Cook according to directions. Cool completely. To make homemade cool whip, chill your mixing bowl with ice cubes, or if you have room in your freezer, place bowl in freezer. Place mixer(s) in freezer. Chill. Pour out ice.
Pour 16 oz heavy whipping cream and ¾ c. Powdered sugar and whip on high speed a few minutes. It is done when it has stiff WHITE peaks. Watch out! If you whip too much longer, it will turn into butter (turn yellowish).
I transfer this to another container and then whip up the cream cheese. Then, gently fold in the whipping cream. I use almost all of it. Top with fruit as desired. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

*I use homemade cool whip, as I don’t care for the chemical taste of cool whip, but you can use cool whip in place of the heavy whipping cream and just add about ¼ c. powdered sugar.
