Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 can Campbell's vegetable or vegetarian vegetable soup
6 potatoes
1-2 onions, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
1. Brown and crumble ground beef in frying pan while cooking over medium-high heat. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder while cooking. Drain in colander (sieve). Pat down firmly in the bottom of a large round pyrex or Corningware pie plate (10" in diameter) which has been sprayed with Pam.

2. Layer the undiluted soup on top of meat, spreading with rubber spatula to even out.

3. Peel and cut up potatoes or don't peel if they are new potatoes. Boil until soft. Drain potatoes, return to pot and mash with butter, salt and at least 1/2 cup of milk until they are a good consistency but not too liquidy. Layer the mashed potatoes on top of the soup, spreading evenly with rubber spatula.

4. Sauté onions in the frying pan used for browning the meat (to save using an extra frying pan lol) in a bit of vegetable oil until golden brown. Layer on top of the mashed potatoes.

5. Bake in preheated 325ºF oven for 30-45 minutes. Let rest for a few minutes out of the oven before slicing into pie shaped slices.

Personal Notes:
This is probably one of the few recipes that you have to "wing it" instead of following precise directions. Yummy family meal which kids love. I would start with steps 3 and 4 and then everything goes quickly to assemble. Serves 4-6.
