1 lb ground beef
½ C. dry bread crumbs
⅓ C. finely chopped onion
¼ C. milk
1 T snipped parsley
1 t. salt
½ t. Worcestershire sauce
⅛ t. pepper
1 egg
¼ C. shortening
1 bottle (12 oz) chili sauce
1 jar (10 oz) grape jelly

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, milk, parsley, salt, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, and egg.
Shape into 1 inch balls

Cook meatballs in shortening until brown. Remove meatballs and drain pan. Heat chili sauce and jelly in skillet, until jelly is melted. Add meatballs; stir until coated. Simmer uncovered 30 minutes.

COCKTAIL SAUSAGES: Substitute 3 cans Vienna sausages, cut crosswise into halves, for the meatballs. Decrease simmering time to 20 mins.
