3/4 c. Crisco
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 375º
Combine shortening, brown sugar, milk and vanilla. Beat at medium speed. Beat egg into creamed mixture. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Mix into creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop rounded teaspoonful of dough onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake one sheet at a time for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove cookies to foil to cool completely.
