1 1/2 sticks melted butter (sweet cream salted butter)
1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
1 1/2 to 1 3/4 cups of all purpose flour
1 egg
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 T baking powder
1/2 cups chopped pecans

melt butter, stir in sugar and egg

add remainder of ingredients

stir until the dough pulls away from the bowl, like one complete doughball, add small amounts of flour until the dough will drop out into cast iron skillet in one single blob... yes blob...

Pre-heat oven to 350, place dough into a 10 inch cast iron skillet, NO oil or spray needed... just a nice seasoned cast iron skillet.

cook for approximately 22 to 25 minutes, until the center poofs up.

ALLOW TO COOL IN THE PAN...

Dump onto newspaper or wax paper and cut into squares/cookies enjoy...
