1 c. unsalted butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

3 tbsp. sugar
3 tsp. ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400º

Cream together the butter, 1 1/2 c. sugar, eggs, and the vanilla. Blend in the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Shape dough by rounded spoonfulls into balls.

Mix the 3 tbsp. sugar and the 3 tsp. of cinnamon in a separate bowl. Roll balls of dough into mixture. Please 2 inches apart on a baking sheet.

Bake 7 - 8 minutes
