1 pound New York Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated
4 sticks Margarine(Parkay)
4 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour(White Lily)
3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream grated cheese and butter together.

Sift flour and then measure out the 4 1/2 cups. Then sift the flour, cayenne pepper and salt together.

Add flour mixture to the cheese and butter mixture in a heavy stand mixer. Blend well.

Squeeze through a metal cookie press onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 14 to 17 minutes.

Cool on a wire rack and then pack in an airtight container. These freeze beautifully.

Can also use extra sharp cheese and increase or decrease cayenne pepper depending on the "bite" you want.
You cannot use butter in this recipe instead of margarine---it does not work!
