BOURBON BROWNIES Recipe

Brownies:
¾ cup flour
¼ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
2 Tbsps water
½ cup sugar
⅓ cup butter
1 6 ounce package chocolate chips
½ tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup chopped nuts
4 tsps bourbon

Frosting:
½ cup softened butter
2 cups confctioner's sugar
7 Tbsps creme de menthe

Topping:
1 6 ounce package chocolate chips
3 Tbsps butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º
Grease 9 x 13 pan

Combine flour with baking powder and salt and set aside.
Combine water, sugar and butter and bring to a boil stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and vanilla.
Beat until smooth, add in eggs, stirring well.
Add flour mixture and chopped nuts.
Spread in pan and bake 25 minutes.

Sprinkle with bourbon while still hot.
Cool thoroughly.

Cream butter and sugar, then add the creme de menthe.
Spread over brownies.
Chill until set.

Melt chocolate chips with butter.
Spread over the creme de menthe layer.

When cool, cut into bars.
