Cake Layers

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 cup whipping cream
1 cup butter
1 ½ cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp baking ammonia
1 tsp baking powder
4 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve baking ammonia in ½ cup hot water. Then mix liquids together and add flour to liquids. Form into a ball and put in plastic bag/wrap or covered dish overnight (you don’t want dough to dry out).
Next morning divide dough and roll out to thin layers (1/4 in thick) and cut circles to desired size, usually about 8” around. Prick the dough with a fork so you don’t get bubbles while baking. Bake on a cookie sheet at 375°F for approximately 7 minutes, watch carefully, when slightly golden remove to cool.

Filling

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Dr. Oetker chocolate pudding
Dr. Oetker vanilla pudding

Directions:
Directions:
1 cup whipping cream
¼ cup sugar
1 package whip it

Cook as directed on package the night before filling, refrigerate overnight.
Whip whipping cream with ¼ cup sugar and 1 package of whip it. Divide evenly between chocolate and vanilla pudding and mix in with a mixer to mix well.

Layer a little pudding on plate, cake layer and pudding layer. Layer as many cake layers as you like but 5 is usually the best. Spread pudding on top and sides. Decorate top if you like. Oma always had a little dough left that she baked as well then once cake was filled crumbled up those little pieces for a little decoration to the top of the cake. Best to wait a few hours minimum before eating so the pudding soaks in to the cake layers. Can even leave up to a week!
