Butternut Squash

Butternut Squash
1 butternut squash peeled, remove seeds and cube
salt and pepper
3 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. butter

Directions:

Butternut Squash:
In a sauce pan add squash with 1 cup of water,salt and pepper. Cook till tender. Drain leaving a tbsp. of water and mash with butter and brown sugar.


 

Blue Hubbard or Orange Nubbly

1/4 Blue Hubbard Squash (or Nubby)
2 C water
salt and pepper 3 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. butter

Blue Hubbard Squash ( Or Orange Nubby):
Do not peel
Cut up squash in big pieces small enough to fit in sauce pan
Add water 2 cups and salt and pepper.
 

Acorn Squash

2 Acorn squash cut in half
Brown sugar
2 tsp butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 400 bake for 50 minutes

Cut in half and remove membrane and seeds. Add salt and pepper then cavity with brown sugar and 1/2 butter
Put in small roasting dish

Butternut you can get at anytime.
blue hubbard do not buy until after a frost.

Acorn make sure that it has a little orange or yellow spot.
