2 1/2 c flour
1 T sugar
1 tsp salt
1 c shortening
2 egg yolks
2/3 c milk
1/2 to 1 1/2 c cornflakes
8 to 10 apples, enough to heap on crust
1 1/2 c sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Blend together flour, 1 tablespoon sugar, salt and shortening. Mix yolks in milk and add to dry ingredients. Stir to form soft dough. Divide into 2 balls. Roll out one ball of dough and pat into jelly roll pan. Sprinkle corn flakes on crust. Add sliced apples. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar mixture over apples, sealing the edges. Beat 2 egg whites until frothy and spread on top crust. Bake 1 hour at 350º. To frost, drizzle with 1 cup powdered sugar mixed with 2 to 3 teaspoons water. Eat hot or cold with ice cream.
