1 cup butter
1½ cup sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp light corn syrup
3 cups flour
2 tsp soda
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp ginger
½ tsp cloves
1 Tbsp grated orange peel

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º

Cream butter and sugar
Add egg and syrup; beat well.
Mix in dry ingredients and orange peel.

Shape into two 9 inch long rolls about 2" across.
Wrap in waxed paper and chill several hours or overnight.

Slice into ⅛" thick cookies and place 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 5 - 6 minutes
