32 light colored caramels
5 T cream
1 c flour
1 c oatmeal
3/4 c brown sugar
1/2 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 c melted margarine
1 c chocolate chips
1/2 c walnuts or pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt together caramels and cream, stirring often. Set aside but keep warm. Combine flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, soda, salt and margarine. Press 3/4 mixture in a 9 x 13 pan and bake 10 minutes at 350. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Then spoon drizzle the caramel mixture over the chocolate chips and nuts. Next crumble remaining flour mixture over the caramel. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes until golden.
