2- 14.5oz cans pitted sour cherried (in water) - reserve ½c juice
1 c sugar
¼ c cornstarch
1 t vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cherries, ½c of the juice from the cherries, sugar and cornstartch in a medium saucepan. Cook on low-med heat until thickened, stirring frequently. It will thicken around the 25 minute mark. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla. Put in crust and bake.

I am not a fan of cherry pie but my husband LOVES them and he said this is by far the best filling! Way better than the canned cherries!
