½ c. butter
1 c. boiling water
4 eggs
1 c. flour

Creamy Filling:
⅔ c. sugar
5 tbsp. flour
¼ tsp. salt
2 c. milk
2 eggs or 4 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Boil water, then measure & add butter. Bring to boil.
Add flour & salt vigorously.
Remove from heat as soon as it is mixed.
Add each egg singly mixing each thoroughly.
Drop by spoonful on well greased cookie sheets.

Bake 400º 30 minutes

Cream filling:
Double boiler:
Combine dry ingredients, stir in cold milk, cook until thickened, stirring constantly.

Cook 10 minutes covered.

Stir hot mixture into eggs and then back into rest. Cook 2 minutes stirring.
Chill and add vanilla
