4 cloves garlic, minced
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 white onion, diced
1 jalapeņo, seeded and diced
1 cup green or brown lentils, rinsed
1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
4 cups water
2 tsp chicken boullion
1 (15 oz) can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or more if you like a little heat!)
1 teaspoon salt

Optional toppings: sour cream, shredded cheese, etc.

Put all ingredients into slow cooker. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 7-8 hours. Top with cheese, sour cream, or other taco toppings.
