1 cup hot water
1 tsp. Salt
1 1/2 Tbsp Shortening (or oil)
1/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp yeast dissolved in 2 Tbsp warm water and 1 tsp or sugar
1 beaten egg
3 to 4 cups of flour

Directions:
Directions:
Combine hot water, salt, sugar, and shortening in a bowl. Cool to lukewarm.
Prepare yeast, water, and sugar mixture and set aside.
Add yeast mixture and the egg. Mix well. Add half the flour and mix.
Stir in more flour to make a stiff dough.
Knead for 8 to 10min.
Refrigerate the dough in an airtight oiled container until ready for use.
Take dough out 2 to 3 hours before baking.
Let rise for 30-45min. Form Rolls and bake at 350 or 375 for 15min, or until brown.
