1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
½ cup sugar
4 egg yolks
¼ cup lemon juice
½ cup orange juice
½ cup water
½ teaspoon grated lemon rind
½ teaspoon grated orange rind
4 egg whites
½ teaspoon cream of tartar
½ cup sugar

Prepare and bake a single pie shell.

Thoroughly mix gelatin and ½ cup sugar in saucepan. Beat together egg yolks, fruit juices and water; stir into gelatin mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture just starts to boil. Remove from heat and stir in grated rinds; chill until mixture begins to thicken. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until fluffy. Gradually add ½ cup sugar and beat until stiff peaks form; fold into gelatin mixture. Pour into pastry shell and chill until firm. Top with whipped cream.
