Pastry for 9” One-crust pie
3 large eggs
½ sugar
1 cup cooked or canned pumpkin
¼ cup melted butter or ½ cup cream
¾ cup dark corn syrup
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon each ginger, nutmeg
½ cup coarsely chopped walnuts, if desired.

Directions:

Heat oven 375°. Beat eggs, sugar, pumpkin, butter, syrup, salt, spices thoroughly. Mix in nuts. Pour into pastry-lined pie pan. Bake 45 to 50 minutes. Serve with whipped cream.
