2# beef, cut into cubes
1 t. lemon juice or vinegar
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1/8 t. allspice, or 1 whole clove, or 2 whole allspice
2 c. water
1 t. Worcestershire sauce
2 bay leaves
1/2 t. pepper and paprika
8 medium carrots, chunked
4 medium potatoes, chunked

Brown meat.
Add all ingredients to slow cooker:
Cook low 6-8 hours or high 4-6 hours.

Juice can be thickened. Serves 6-8.
