2/3 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 Tbsp water
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 cups special dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Beat shortening, brown sugar, water and vanilla in large bowl on medium speed until well blended. Add eggs; beat well.

Stir together flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda. Gradually add to sugar mixture, beating on low speed until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake in 375º oven 7-9 minutes or until cookies are set. Cookies will appear soft and moist. Do not overbake. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet, then transfer to wire rack and cool completely.

If you really like dark chocolate, use the special dark chocolate chips and the dark cocoa. Delicious!
