1 lb ground beeef
1 small onion, chopped
½ tsp garlic salt
¼ tsp pepper
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 small can (½ c) mushroom stems and pieces, drained*
¾ c sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
In medium skillet, brown ground beef and onion, drain excess fat. Stir in garlic salt, pepper, soup and mushrooms. Simmer covered, 15 to 20 minutes. Stir in sour cream; heat through, but do not boil. Serve over rice, noodles or chow mein noodles.

Serving ideas: For an oven casserole, spoon cooked mixture into 1½ or 2 qt casserole. Top with French fried onions. Bake uncovered at 350º, 20-25 minutes or until heated through.

*This is even better if you use fresh mushrooms. If using fresh, add them to pan once onions are cooked.
