Hoagie or sub buns (any soft bun)
Ham- very thin ( ask deli to chip or shred the boiled ham)
Thousand island dressing
Lettuce

Directions:
Directions:
Coat buns with thousand island dressing. Place ham on top of this- add lettuce to taste. Put in oven and bake at 350º for about 10 minutes or until hot. These are good even cold.

There was a restaurant in Natchez that served these and we did not know how to make them and then daughter, Jill dated someone who worked there and he told her what was in it. We called the sandwiches the name of the restaurant, but now we just call them "Etta Mae's Special Ham Sandwiches". They are a favorite of everyone who has had one.
