Apple Cake

4-5 apples, grated with skin on
2 c. sugar

2 beaten eggs
1 c. oil
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Put apples and sugar in large bowl and let set for 1 hour.

Add remaining cake ingredients and pour in ungreased 9 x 13 pan. Bake 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
 

Butter Sauce
Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter
2 tsp vanilla
3/4 c. half-n-half
Directions:
Directions:
Combine ingredients and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve with cake.
