¾ Cup onions, chopped
¾ Cup Butter
3 lbs Yellow Squash, sliced(or more if needed)
1½ Tablespoons Sugar
Salt and Pepper to taste
2 Eggs, separated
1 Cup Cheddar Cheese, grated
1½ Cups Bread Crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300º. Boil squash until just tender. Saute onions. Add drained squash. Add beaten egg yokes, sugar, salt, pepper and ½ cheese. Beat egg whites and fold into mixture. turn into buttered dish and top with bread crumbs and remaining cheese. Bake 20 to 30 minutes or until firm.
