Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1½ pounds ground beef

3 eggs, slightly beaten

1 cup milk

Pepper to taste

Seasoning Salt

1 cup All- Purpose flour

Butter flavored Crisco

1½ cups French's Dried Onion

Directions:
Directions:
Place French's Dried onion in a ziplock bag. Crush into crumbs with the back of a wooden spoon, poor into a dish
Place Eggs into a dish
Place milk into a dish
Place Flour into a dish

Heat Butter Flavored Crisco Oil in large frying pan, just enough to melt and cover bottom of pan. Heat should be on medium.

Separate hamburger into sections and pat down as if you were making hamburger patties.Sprinkle each side with Seasoning Salt

Dredge each hamburger patty as follows:
1. Milk
2. Flour
3. Egg
4. Frenches onion
5. Egg
6. Frenches onion

Place dredged patties in frying pan and cook each side until juices run clear.(I do the Spatula test...Press firmly down on patties with a spatula until juices are clear) Very important not to cook on high heat as the outside crust will burn before the meat is cooked. As the meat cooks if the oil is absorbed into the crust, add small additional amounts of Crisco oil.

Serve with Gravy and Mashed Potatoes

Chicken Fried Gravy

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Milk

All-Purpose Flour

Butter flavored Crisco

Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Once the Chicken Fried Steaks are done cooking, remove from skillet and place on baking sheet in oven at low 200 degree oven to keep warm.

Sprinkle flour in Chicken Fried grease until a paste forms. If you don't have enough grease you can add a little Butter flavored Crisco.

Once you have the paste to desired consistency, (paste should be thick, but not dry or crumbly, if paste is too crumbly then add a little Butter flavored Crisco), slowly add milk while stirring. As the mixture heats up the gravy will start to thicken. Slowly add your milk. Don't add too much milk at once as you can't add more flour to thicken once you've added any milk.

Once you've reached your desired consistency for gravy, salt and pepper to taste.

This is perfect over your Chicken Fried Steak and some mashed potatoes.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
The secret to Chicken Fried Steaks are the French's Onion Crumb Crust and the Seasoning salt.
Using hamburger instead of Cube Steak is not only Cheaper...but guaranteed tender!! No guessing if you picked out a good tender Cube Steak.
