2 crowns of Broccoli or 1/2 head of Broccoli (small head)
2 medium dark red apples such as red delicious. Do not peel apples.
1/2 cup raisins
One stalk of celery
1/4 cup onion
2 teaspoons of each--white vinegar, water and sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Optional 2 strips cooked bacon diced
3/4 cup salad dressing. I use Miracle Whip (may add more dressing according to personal taste)

Wash all the vegetables. Then in a large bowl, core apples and cut into bite size pieces, do not peel apples.
Sprinkle the vinegar, water and sugar over the apples, stir to cover the apple pieces, this will prevent apples from turning colors.
Cut broccoli into bite size pieces, dice onions and the celery, add all to the apples.
Plus add the raisins and the black pepper.
Add the salad dressing, mix well, refrigerate until chilled. Serve as a vegetable for dinner or supper along with your meat and starchy vegetable, if this is what you desire.



According to your personal taste, sprinkle the bacon over salad just before serving.
