Ingredients: 1/2 large onion, sliced 3 cloves garlic, chopped 2 lbs beef sirloin, sliced. (The butcher will slice the beef sirloin for you for free. Just tell them it is for Philly Cheese Steak) 1/2 tsp ground cumin 1/2 tsp ground black pepper 1/2 tsp chili powder 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp paprika 1/4 tsp dried thyme 1/4 tsp dried marjoram 1/4 tsp dried basil 2 Tbsp Bourbon Whiskey (I'm not a Whiskey drinker so I just bought one of those small sample bottles instead of buying a full bottle of Whiskey. 1 tsp soy sauce 1 tsp prepared mustard (the kind you keep in your fridge for sandwiches) 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp hot sauce (such as Frank's Red Hot) 1 (12 fl oz) can or bottle beer (such as Budweiser) 2 cubes beef bouillon Sliced Cheese of your choice (I like Havarti cheese for it's taste and creaminess) Rolls or Hoagies of your choice. (I really like this with the fresh bolillo rolls you can get at the grocery bakery dept)

Directions: |
Directions:Spread onion and garlic into the bottom of a slow cooker; layer beef over onion and garlic.
Sprinkle all the dry seasonings over the beef strips.
Top with the wet seasonings
Pour beer over all then add the beef bouillon cubes on top of the meat.
Cook on Low, stirring occasionally, for 8 hours, or High for 4 hours
Just before serving, I opened up and placed the bolilo rolls on a cookie sheet, piled with meat, sliced cheese on top of the meat and placed under the oven broiler just until the meat was all melted goodness. (this doesn't take long so DON'T get side tracked doing something else!!!)

Notes: I know this sounds like an awful lot of spices and ingredients....but the taste and tenderness is Fabulous!! Don't skimp out on adding any of them. Consider it a great way to stock your spice rack. If you love to cook, they are all frequently used spices.
The beer...well....that might be one ingredient you want to make sure you didn't drink the last one before making this.
