¼ cup sugar
⅔ cup white vinegar
2 tsp dry mustard
2 tsp salt
1¾ cup salad oil
4 green onions, chopped
2 scant Tbsp poppy seeds

Salad:
Lettuce
Toasted almonds
Mandarin oranges (drained and slivered)

Directions:
Prepare dressing one day ahead for the flavors to blend. Combine sugar and vinegar in blender. Add dry mustard, salt, salad oil and green onions. Blend thoroughly, then stir in poppy seeds. Assemble salad. At serving time, pour dressing over green salad.
