1 15 oz. can pumpkin (2 cups)
1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
2 eggs
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
½ tsp. ground ginger
½ tsp. ground nutmeg
½ tsp. salt
1 (9") unbaked pie shell or deep dish pie shell

Preheat oven to 425º. With wire whisk, beat pumpkin, milk, eggs, spices and salt. Pour into crust. Bake 15 minutes. Reduce oven heat to 350º and continue baking 35-40 minutes or until knife inserted 1" from crust comes out clean.

Cool. Garnish as desired. Refrigerate leftovers.

Here's an alternate pumpkin pie recipe that's not as much of a custard as Joyce's was. Still good. I've never met a pumpkin pie I just couldn't eat.
