2½ cups boiling water
1 tsp salt
1¼ cups converted-type rice
MY SECRET SEASONED BUTTER:
3/4 cup butter, room temperature
1/3 cup packed down cut parsley sprigs
1/3 cup packed down cut celery leaves
1/3 cup packed down scallion including green tops, cut in 1 inch lengths
1/4 tsp crushed dried sage
1/4 tsp crushed dried marjoram
1/8 tsp crushed dried thyme
1/8 tsp black pepper

In a round 1½ quart casserole stir together the water, salt, rice and 2 T My Secret butter.
Cover tightly and bake in a preheated 375º oven until rice is tender and water is absorbed - about 45 minutes.
Fluff rice with a fork, adding enough more of My Secret to suit your taste.

METHOD FOR MY SECRET BUTTER"
In an electric blender, whirl together all ingredients until blended, or in a food processor using the steel blade. Process until blended.
This seasoned butter may be stored in the refrigerator for several weeks.
