1 can (15 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1 T. Grated Key Lime r ind
1/2 c. Key Lime juice
1/4 t. Salt
2 eggs, separated
2 T. Sugar
1 baked pie crust, your favorite kind

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the first 5 ingredients ( yolks of eggs only) and stir until thickened. Pour into the baked pie crust and cover with meringue made by beating the egg whites until stiff to which the sugar is gradually added. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned.

This recipe is from Jim Morse, our surrogate son who lived with us for a long time. He failed to tell me which grandmother! It owes its distinctive character to the pungent Florida Key Lime, although it may be used in any other recipe calling for lemon or lime.
