4 Tb oil
1 clove garlic
2 large onions
1/3 C flour
1-1/2 tsp. salt
1-1/4 tsp. pepper
1 pound stewing beef, cut in small pieces
1-1/2 tsp. dill
1 C burgundy (optional)
1 - 10 ounce can consomme
1 - 10 ounce package frozen green beans or artichoke hearts
4 Tb butter
18 fresh mushrooms, halved or quartered (canned mushrooms may be substituted)

Heat in oil in heavy skillet. Saute garlic and onion until golden. Remove from pan. Mix salt, pepper and flour and dredge meat with it. Brown meat well in same oil. Add more oil if necessary. Put onions back in pan with meat. Add dill, wine and
consomme. Cover tightly and simmer until tender (you can add sour cream to this to give a different flavor). Cook beans or artichokes 1 minute less than package directions. Melt butter and saute mushrooms for 5 minutes. Add beans (or artichokes) and
