1 cup white sugar
1 Tlb butter
2 heaping Tlb.s flour
pinch salt
2 eggs (separated)
1 cup sweet milk
grated rind and juice of 1 lemon

Directions:
Directions:

Cream together sugar and butter
Add 2 well beaten egg yolks
1 cup of milk
grated rind and juice of a lemon

In a separate bowl beat egg whites till hold a peak. Then fold into above mixture till just mixed.
Pour into pie shell that has been brushed with egg white( stops from getting soggy)
Preheat oven to 425º. Put pie in and set timer for 10 minutes. Then turn down to 350º for about 30 minutes. Till top lightly browned and knife comes out clean.

Don't forget to use the timer. Because if the pie is more than lightly browned David will say burning things is a trait handed down through the generations!
