1 cup flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
½ cup wht. sugar
2 Tlb cocoa

½ cup warm milk
2 Tlb butter

½ cup brn sugar
¼ cocoa
2 cups boiling water

Directions:
Directions:

Sift flour,bking pwdr.,salt, wht sugar and cocoa together. Add the 1/2 cup of warm milk (stir don't beat) Add butter and pour into a greased 8" X 8" cake pan. Spread the brown sugar and cocoa on the batter in pan and pour on top 2 cups of hot water
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes. When toothpick comes out clean it's cooked

This is the chocolate cake with the sauce on the bottom recipe. You girls all loved this recipe when you were little. I used to double it just to have some left over
