Apple Spice Bread Recipe

1⅓ cup flour
tsp soda
tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
tsp powdered cloves
1 cup +1 tsp sugar
cup oil
2 eggs beaten
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups coursely chopped apples
cup raisins
cup chopped nuts

Mix flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves in bowl.
Set aside. Mix 1 cup surgar with oil in a large bowl then
add eggs and vanilla. Stir in apples, raisins and nuts.
Add flour mixture and stir until mixed. Grease a 9x5x3
bread pan and line with waxed paper. Bake at 325 for
20 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with 1 tsp surgar.
Return to oven and bake for another 30-40 minutes until done.
Makes one loaf.
