2 cups elbow macaroni
1 cup half-and-half
1 pinch cayenne
salt and pepper
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon butter, melted, for the casserole

Directions:
Directions:
* Boil macaroni for 4 minutes or until half-cooked (salt the water!)
* In medium saucepan heat half-and-half with cayenne, salt and pepper. Add macaroni and 1½ cups of cheese and cook on medium heat until cheese melts.
* Pour into buttered casserole dish and top with remaining cheese.
* Bake in a preheated 350º oven for 15 minutes until cheese melts.
