1½ CUPS WATER
1 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR
1 CUP BROWN SUGAR
2 EGGS
1 TSP. VANILLA
2 EGGS
1⅓ CUPS FLOUR
1 TSP. SODA
1 TSP. CINNAMON
1 TSP. NUTMET
½ TSP. SALT

350º 9X13" PAN

IN SMALL SAUCEPAN, COMBINE OATS AND WATAER AND BRING TO A BOIL OVER MEDIUM HEAT. LET COOL. IN MEDIUM BOWL, CREAM SUGARS AND MARGARINE. ADD EGGS AND VANILLA AND MIX THROUGHLY. ADD ALL OF THE DRY INGREDIENTS. MIX WELL. ADD OATMEAL AND MIX WELL. BAKE FOR 30 - 35 MINUTES. FROST WHILE WARM WITH FOLLOWING RECIPE.

2 TBSP. MILK
1 CUP CHOPPED NUTS

MELT BUTTER AND MIX IN REMAINING INGREDIENTS. SPREAD ON WARM CAKE. PLACE ABOUT 6" UNDER BROILER AND BROIL APPROXIMATELY 3 MINUTES OR UNTIL FROSTING BEGINS TO BUBBLE AND BROWN SLIGHTLY. WATCH CLOSELY.
