8 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups of sugar
12 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon anise
16 teaspoons of baking powder
2 cups oil
grated lemon rind
1 cup of flour to work dough

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, eggs, vanilla, anise, lemon rind and oil. Blend in dry ingredients a little at a time. Roll out to form cookies. Bake at 300 for about 40 minutes.

Form dough in a circle. Place a decorated hard boiled Easter egg in the center. Place a roll of dough vertically over the egg and one roll horizontally making a cross. Bake the cookie. Know that the dough will rise significantly. Cool cookies on drying rack. Glaze with powdered sugar and decorate with non-pareilles.
