2 lb fresh cod steaks
2 small onions minced
3 tbsp. butter, margarine or oil
3 tbsp. flour
2 c drained tomatoes
2 tbsp. minced green pepper
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp celery salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375F. Rub a baking pan or dish with margarine. Wipe the fish with a clean damp cloth and arrange the steaks in the dish. Wash and slice the onions and cook them in the butter, margarine or oil until tender but not browned. Stir in the flour, blend smoothly, and add the tomato and green pepper and let heat until boiling, stirring continuously. Add the salt, celery salt and pepper and mix well. Pour mixture over the fish. Bake 20 to 30 min depending on the thickness of the steaks.
