Directions:Base Cut all fruit into thick slices or wedges. Slow boil the equivalent of 2 oranges, 3 lemons and 2 limes in large pot with the water, adding sugar constantly as fast as it dissolves. Continue stirring and cooking until saturated with sugar and syrupy but stop when bitter taste (from the peels) begins. Mash and squeeze remaining pieces of orange and lemon in the hot syrup and let stand. Chill the Base before using. (It will keep indefinitely in a jar in the refrigerator.)
