1/2 cup shortening
1 cup Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
1 cup Molasses
1 cup Sour Cream
2 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
1 lb Seeded Raisins
Spices to taste: Cinnamon, Cloves, Ginger
Flour to stiffen, about 3 cups

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all pudding ingredients together
Pour batter into a Pudding mild (I use cans) and cover tightly
Bring a pot of water to full rolling boil.
Add pudding (water should come 1/2 way up pudding container).
Cover
Keep at a full boil
Cook 1 to 3 hours, depending on size of pudding mild

Serve with a Brown Sugar Sauce

When my son Ben was about 10 years old he asked my husband's mom for this recipe as he loved it. She would make this every year to have at Christmas. I bought the ingredients for him and he made it!! It became a cherished family recipe
